MotoBench is run by the two of us. Both coming from the biking industry, and both of us ride: road, track and off‑road. Both hate having our faces all over social media so we'd like to introduce you to our alter-ego's - Lego Blanch and Lego Jo.

Blanch (in real life) is the long‑time qualified tech who can field‑strip an LC8 before breakfast, has a sense of humour so dry it should come with a fire warning, and can sniff out a blocked injector from the other side of the workshop.

Jo is the chatty resident tyre geek with WSBK‑tyre‑engineer ambitions and a weird fetish for tyre warmers.
She looks after the business side of MotoBench and keeps everything running while getting far too excited about new tyres, compounds and anything orange. And cake.

It all started out as an idea over coffee one Sunday morning. To be able to get service parts and tyres up to the NE of Scotland without the usual “Highlands & Islands” surcharge — and maybe, just maybe, start a community thing: meets, events, info, and anything that helps the wider biker crowd up here.

It’s grown arms and legs a bit, and we’re now busy enough that the coffee goes cold more often than it should.

We're still small and we plan to keep it that way, still personal, and still run by two actual humans who ride, fix, break, and occasionally swear at their own bikes. We’re learning about this business thing as we go, building things properly, and trying to make MotoBench a place where riders feel welcome — whether they’re here for tyres, advice, or just a chat about whatever their bike has decided to do this week.

We’re not trying to be a big deal. We’re trying to be useful. And if we can build a proper community along the way — even better.
